That goes on on the internet and is one of the main reason they want your email address. In fact they would like to fix it so that they will get a cut out of ALL the spying and spamming Heaven forbid they can't track us and spam us at will, not mention making it easy for the NSA to spy on us etc, and Microsoft is notĪbout to step up and do something to protect their customers form such intrusion.l In fact they want to be in on it so that they can get a cut of the profits. But lets face it those powers that be that own our government are not about to let that happen. Nothing less than that shouldīe illegal to say the least. ONLY moral option that should be offered by Microsoft is to setup an account that DOES not EVER want to know your real name etc so that ALL web surfing etc is 100% anonymous, so much so that Microsoft can't even tell who you are. It should be avoided AT ALL COSTS! By DEFAULT the Metro/Start is nothing but a mini monopoly waiting to happen, just like the new Office 365. At the very least it is extremely immoral of them to do so. So by HIDING the options to avoid it should be criminal. And for Microsoft to trick people in to doing It is NEVER in the best interest of the user to give out personal info just to use an OS.

Into giving up their email address and/or creating/signing in to Win 8 with a "Microsoft" account etc is just plain EVIL!.

Anything less that that is NOT common sense. But the practice of tricking people Actually IT IS NOT COMMON SENSE! Common sense would be for Microsoft to use the existing accounts, since it is an "upgrade", without EVER prompting one to do anything else.
